About Me
With no kids of my own, my clients have taken to calling me their “fitness mom” – giving them the tools they need to be healthy and letting them make good choices that fit with their life.
Of course there’s some occasional hand-holding and adult supervision, but I consider it my job to make it as easy as possible for you to be the fittest, strongest momma you can be!
Husky to Healthy
I grew up part of an overweight family where there was never a shortage of food. Up until 8th grade, my mom and I shopped in the husky section each year for my back-to-school clothes. Full disclosure, I didn’t mind – I was such a tomboy and didn’t give much thought to how I looked.
(Note: They don’t even have that section anymore! Stigmas and self-esteem and all that 🙃)
“The more things change, the more they stay the same.” Of course I care how I look now, but I’ve found the better I take care of myself – moving my body, fueling my body, getting good sleep, etc. – the better I look and feel.
It’s NOT All-or-Nothing
As a former strength and conditioning coach, it makes sense that I love working out… but as much as I love it – lifting and running are my current favs – I typically don’t spend more than 30 minutes per day at it. Nor do I have my clients aim for more than that. Spending just 2% of your day on yourself doesn’t sound too scary, right??
Plus it means I still have time for all the Real Housewives drama; keeping my amateur foodie status – charcuterie boards and Sunday dinners are my jam; and attempting to turn my thumb green. Garden results vary… cucumbers? I GOT YOU! Tomatoes? Not so much.
More Personal
My long-time boyfriend and I currently live in Central New York with our pup, Lyra (isn’t she cute!?). I’m a huge book nerd – I get a library card each new place I move so I’m always open to new book recommendations.
And if I had a superpower it’d be learning languages – I’m a social butterfly and would love to be able to chat with people from all over the world.
What’s with the name?
Yes, Running with Bacon is actually my company name! Not only is it fun and memorable, but it sums up my coaching style, too. Watch this video for more of an explanation.

“Coach Mack’s positivity and knowledge are what won me over. Her program provided all the support, community and accountability I had been missing.”
